Dear Student,

On behalf of our School, I extend my warm greetings to you and welcome you all to School of Vedic Sciences & Astrology. Vedic Sciences include both subtle or occult sciences like astrology & the inner science of self-knowledge through Yoga & Vedanta. Our School offers Undergraduate Programs in Astrology, Vedic Science, Numerology, Vastu & Palmistry. The field of Yogic science is vast and includes practices like asana, pranayama, ritual, mantra and meditation. Astrology is an interesting science aimed at helping us understand how the stars and planets affect our own bodies & minds and the fate of the world as a whole. It believes in this holistic approach of health, which can be achieved by following the laws of nature (Physical Health), rules of good conduct (Mental/ Social Health) and developing a philosophical attitude and practicing meditation and Yoga (Spiritual Health). We have an accomplished faculty to impart knowledge pertaining to these courses. I invite you to visit our campus and learn more about the facilities and the infrastructure we offer.

The Department of Physiotherapy offers an internationally recognized undergraduate and post graduate courses by a team of academicians. The curriculum offered by the department is according to need of health care system.

Our students are trained to address the health needs of population which includes prevention, cure and rehabilitation of a wide range of conditions. Graduates are trained to serve the humanity from young adults to old age people. Our department is fully equipped to work in local areas as well global setting.

The research focus areas of in the department includes rehabilitation and chronic diseases of life style etc. Academics within the department have completed Masters Programs. The Department is collaborating with institutions regionally.

  1. Clinical Tie-up: Department has Clinical tie-up with renowned hospital of Nalagarh & Baddi. The Lord Mahavira Hospital (Nalagarh) and Gagan Hospital (Baddi) are 150 bedded hospital where clinical knowledge is being imparted.

  2. Out-Patient Department: In order to meet the clinical requirements of the programme department runs one Out Patient Department (OPD) that offers physiotherapy services to nearby people at very nominal charges on daily basis. The OPD is fully equipped with all the ultra modern equipment like SWD, Interferential Therapy, Ultrasonic Therapy, Traction, Infrared, Ultraviolet etc.

The department organizes Physiotherapy Camps from time to time to serve the humanity.

First Physiotherapy Camp
On 20 and 21 June, 2015, a free Physiotherapy camp was organized by Department of Physiotherapy at IEC University. A total of 70 patients of various diseases like Disc prolapse, Degenerative diseases, Low Back pain etc. are examined and treated with the recent physiotherapeutic modalities like Interferential therapy, Ultrasonic therapy, TENS etc.

Second Physiotherapy Camp
Again on 12 July, 2015 a free Physiotherapy camp was organized by Department of Physiotherapy at Shimla. Camp was inaugurated by Vice-Chancellor of the University Dr. Mahavir Singh at 8.30 AM. A total of 50 Patients were treated by Physiotherapy department faculty.
