INTERNATIONAL COLLABORATIONS

IEC Group of Institutions and IEC University has always fostered international collaborations and is involved in a continuous process of collaborative links with the Institutions and Industry worldwide to provide with the best to its students. We envisage this taking place through academic developments, projects, student and faculty exchange programmes.

We have had students under various scholarship schemes from countries across the globe since 2001 to our University for pursuing higher technical education. Many of these students have graduated and are well placed in their respective nations.

Mr. Ernest Kwateng MBA HEM, BA (Hons) Econ, IEC Regional Consultant – Africa

Mr. Ernest has occupied senior management positions since 2004 which has resulted in a comprehensive knowledge-base of consulting, compliance, quality, project and people management within education. Having managed colleges in London, Ghana and Hungary and recruited internationally, Ernest operates from a uniquely global perspective with respect to operations within Further and Higher Education environments.

With a consulting background prior to moving into education, Ernest possesses a deep knowledge of both private and public sectors which enabled him to facilitate efficient delivery of strategic and operational projects. Ernest is a keen collaborator a point that is evidenced through several joint projects with university partners principally aimed at increasing student numbers for partner institutions. Examples include brokering university progression, franchise, validation and other partnership agreements with institutions such as Glasgow Caledonian University, UWE Bristol, Sunderland University and Teesside University.

Ernest’s work on institutional partnerships has allowed him to develop a strong capability for managing relationships at all levels, from senior faculty, through to Dean, Pro Vice Chancellor and Vice Chancellor.

In Economics undergraduate, Ernest recently completed (2018) the MBA in Higher Education Management from University College London, Institute of Education (Ranked No.1 worldwide for education – QS World University Rankings 2019).
