Best Law College in India - The School has been set up to impart legal education to students with its well-structured courses & aims to make them aware of the legal rights & responsibilities. The School ensures that the students get a comprehensive understanding of the practical aspects of law. Its programs are recognized by the Bar Council of India. The University have allotted 60 seats per annum for B. A. LL.B. (Hons.) five years integrated degree course. 60 seats for LL.B. three years’ degree course, 60 seats for LL.M one-year master degree course and 20 seats (each course) per annum for three post Graduate Diploma courses in Labour Laws and 4 seats in Ph.D.The School ensures that the students get a comprehensive understanding of the practical aspects of law for which our teaching methodology includes seminars, tutorial work, moot courts and practical training programs. Legal internships/trainings provide an opportunity for students to increase their knowledge of substantive areas of law, gain exposure to a real work environment and provide valuable support to a legal employer. The School of Law has its own well-furnished moot court as per BCI norms. Moot Court has been set up to acquaint the students with the procedural and functional behaviour of law. The School of Law has also established a Legal Aid Clinic for providing free help and guidance to needy persons as per BCI norms.

Teaching Methodology
The teaching methodology adopted at the School of law is intensive as well as extensive classroom teaching involving active participation of the students. Theoretical classroom teaching is supplemented by clinical legal work. It also includes preparation of project reports, project presentation, submission of assignments, seminars, moot courts, etc. At the School of Law, we nurture future leaders and elite professionals for the legal world and beyond.

The School of Law has established a well-equipped library comprised of text and reference books, journals, periodicals, magazines and newspapers. A student will entitled to borrow two text books at a time from the library for a period of 14 days. The library card shall not be transferable. If the library card is lost, a duplicate card will be issued on payment. The School also provides computer facility to its students with internet connectivity and latest software along with a collection of CD ROM related to Law in side the Law Library.

Over 30,000 books, 100 journals and magazines on different subjects. Beautifully designed and with a seating capacity to accommodate 200 students has cubicles for faculty and research students Has subscription to national & international-journals like IEEE/IEE, Springer, ACM, ASCE Emerald Management Xtra through membership of INDEST Consortia of Indian Institute of Technology, Dehli. An active member of Developing Library Network (DELNET) for resource sharing.

250 Pentium IV workstations running on Windows 2010, Windows XP Pro, Linux and SCO Unix. All classrooms and offices equipped with 24*7 Internet connectivity with a 150 Mbps leased line Classroom and conference room fitted with LCD projection facilities and LAN. Computer lab with 600 systems for common purpose. All departments using CAD and CAM. Separate computer lab for each school and department with specialized software.

School of Law is wi-fi enabled modern class rooms enabling uninterrupted access to high speed internet 24*7.Outfitted with the latest technology. Spacious classrooms equipped with all the necessary presentation facilities and also have video conferencing facility. Every classroom and conference room is fitted with LCD projection facilities and LAN. Lectures are typically augments by multimedia.

Hostel Facility:
Students desirous of availing hostel facility may apply to the concerned authority of IEC University at the time of admission to the course. Students availing hostel facility shall have to pay hostel charges and security separately in addition to fee and other charges as per norms fixed by the Government of Himachal Pradesh from time to time.

Bus Facility:
Students desirous of availing bus facility may apply to the concerned authority of School of Law, IEC University at the time of admission to the course. Students availing bus facility shall have to pay transport charges as per IEC University Rules.

Virtual moot court competition 31st October to 2nd November 2020

On dated 31 October Virtual moot court competition was conducted Dr. Professor NisthaJaswal (VC HPNLU) was the chief Guest and inaugural the session. In this moot competition more than 200 teams participated.

IPR webinar

Intellectual property cell conducted the one day webinar on the “intellectual Property Rights And Academia” importance of intellectual property rights. Dr Professor M.K Bhandari was the chief guest. Three leading speakers were invited in this event Dr. MohiniSuryawashi founder intellx empire Patent and trade attorney, Roshan Agarwal CEO siddhast IP innovation PVT. Constitution day

Every year the schools of Law celebrate the constitution day on 26 November in the school of law. Student participated in the debate competition, poster making.
